indeed, it's all part of the bigger picture of becoming a conscious consumer. i think we've been duped by low low prices for so long and it's time that we recognize what makes them so low. in fact, we'll probably end up paying for it later because of all the chemicals coating everything we play with and eat.
You want to hear something very scary??? 70% of all Wal-Mart's mdse. is from China. shley, you are so right about being a conscious consumer! I think we all are guilty of buying "extras" that we don't need when we shop the big box stores. An article in the Springfield paper's web sight talked about Branson putting in some sort of mass transit system and that if it was approved, the contract would most likely go to a firm in China. MILLIONS of dollars!! Not to mention how much of the good ol' U.S. they already own. Lots to think about. We all need to try our part in stopping this nonsense!

Not to mention the trillions of dollars we are now in debt to China because of the trade deficit...
